A one Day Seminar for Women
Circle of Hearts returned to the Mental Health Association lineup in 2002. The program trains and supports women to mentor other women and help them gain higher self-esteem, set goals and achieve them.
The training helps future mentors understand who their role models were and what shaped their lives so that they can help others do the same. Self-growth depends on self-awareness.
Mentors are encouraged to find women they can mentor and pass along their new understanding and skills.
As women, we are born to nurture and teach yet rarely are we consciously aware of our talents. Circle of Hearts--Women Mentoring Women teaches groups of women to pass on their wisdom and experience to other women and girls.
When you commit to becoming a mentor you agree to:
• Attend one all-day workshop
Share your knowledge and awareness with other women, bringing them into the "Circle of Hearts"
Attend a reunion session two months after your workshop, with at least one woman you have mentored
• Who is eligible?
Any woman age 18 and older who would like to learn more about themselves and serve as a mentor to others.
What will you gain by joining Circle of Hearts--Women Mentoring Women?
• Enhanced self-esteem and personal growth
• Mentoring training skills
• A training manual with specific activities for the mentoring program
TO TRAIN AS A MENTOR, please call the Association office, 239-261-5405. Six-hour Circle of Hearts training workshops are offered several times a year.
