Conflict Management

David Conway
David Conway, LCSW
SW 13698

My focus is working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My passion is being a part of helping people learn better and more effective ways of communicating. Watching them communicate and work through their issues in a way they have never done before is why I enjoy couples and family therapy. I have worked with children who have difficult behaviors for several years, so I have a great understanding of the support parents need in order to cope with their child’s struggles. I also treat areas of grief, adjustments, depression, anxiety, anger, and other mental health related issues and personality disorders.

Welcome. Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (NJ), certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and have expertise in play therapy. I graduated from New York University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and Union Graduate College/Mt. Sinai School of Medicine with a Master’s Degree in Bioethics (specializing in medical and end-of-life counseling). In addition to being a prominent therapist, I contributed to The Center for Ethical Solutions published project The Advanced Directive Steward: Welcome to our Making End-of-Life Healthcare Decisions Count Tool: An Interactive Guide and currently serve on Naples Community Hospital’s Bioethics Committee.

My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life worth celebrating. While we cannot change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

As Alexander Graham Bell said, “When one door closes another door opens, but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us”, let’s find the open door. Please call or e-mail me if you’re looking for coaching, guidance and support through a challenging situation. I look forward to working with you.
